The prairie womens sewing cirlce is a lot of fun and educational as well.  We will be starting Journey Two in April, so you need to get signed up as soon as possible.  We had great lessons about how the pioneer women lived and quilted.  The quilting machine they used was very different from the ones used today.  We also learned about women's sufferage and how they gained status and finally were able to vote and have a say in what happened in their lives.   If you are interested in signing up, please let me know ahead of time so I can order enough packets.  The charge is $35 for 6 meetings.  The meetings are once a month. I am looking at the 3rd Monday of the month, 6:00 pm.  If you would like more info, give me a call.  (219) 733-9980.  I wonder what the pioneer ladies would think of all the innovative quilting tools  we have and  the selection of such interesting fun fabrics to use in our quilting projects today.  Come journey with us through the threads of time.

Pam Buda, the creator of Prairie Women's Sewing Circle has teamed up with Marcus Civil War fabrics.  She has designed a line of Civil War fabrics that are gorgeous.  I will be ordering some of those for our club when they become available.
